Our city is one of the biggest cities in Romania. It is a mixture between past and present, modern and history.
Most people live in apartments, but there are high one family homes too in the suburbs.
The average family has two children.
When young people marry, they buy or rent their own place.

Transportation

Most people go to work by public transportation- buses or by car.
Most students go to school walking because there is a public school in each neighborhood.
Most families own cars.




Weather

We have a typically temperate European climate with hot summers and cold winters.
Braşov lays at the foot of the Carpathians basin so the weather is colder than average

Topography

We have beautifully peaking mountains around the old city fortress and fertile green grass planes on the other side. We have the best of both.
Tourism, mountain climbing and agriculture are all a part of Brasov’s citizens lives.

Our main language is Romanian as well as a small Hungarian minority

Religion(s)

The most majority of the citizens are Christian Orthodox.

Government

Romania is a national semi presidential republic. Our country is divided in “judete” ( counties), each with a Council, mayor and high judge.
